After having visited San Miguel de Allende, we took the road to Guanajuato, the capital of the eponym State: its historic center is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The city is known for its university (one of the oldest of the country) but also because this is where...

February 8, 2017

After one day in Peña de Bernal, we took the direction of mi querido San Miguel de Allende. It was the first time I was going there and I definitely felt in love with this small city. It is colonial, it is colorful, it is cute, people are nice and you will find many in...

Dear readers, it has been a crazy Parisian week.

After having been to the Hergé exhibition, I pursued my hungry of culture with Mexique (1900-1950), an exhibition about Mexican Modern Art.  From a pure subjective point of view, I would say that I haven’t been sensitive...

October 21, 2016

Recently, my sister who lives in Paris sent me a link about an exhibition of Mexican Modern Art in the French capital. The exhibition is taking place in the Grand Palais from the 5th of October to the 23rd of January and is named: “Mexique des renaissances” which liter...

Today I decided to talk about Paris. It makes a while that I think about it because “A French in Mexico” is not only about my new life in the Aztec country. This is also about the concept of expatriation/immigration itself, so this is also about my origins.

It’s not a...

September 26, 2016

This week I have the pleasure to share with you the trip that I did the last week-end. I went to San Miguel de Allende at the particular moment of the Mexican Independence Day. Technically the Independence is celebrated on the 16th of September but the 15th is the day...

September 19, 2016

Last week I was given the opportunity to attend to probably one of the most beautiful show that I ever saw. The current discourse that states that there is no culture in Monterrey makes me feel so surprised to have lived this amazing moment. And I suddenly realized tha...

Toujours. El Museo como Testigo / Toujours. The Museum as Testament

Toujours…Siempre…Always. Whether in French, in Spanish or in English, this simple word refers to the perpetuity. Always refers to something that will never end, that will remain forever. I like this ide...

August 13, 2016

One month after my arrival in Monterrey I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico City for few days. I didn’t really expect to travel so rapidly but the “voyage” always leads you to experiences that you didn’t plan.

So let’s go to DF! Understand here Distrito Federal, e...
