Last week I was given the opportunity to attend to probably one of the most beautiful show that I ever saw. The current discourse that states that there is no culture in Monterrey makes me feel so surprised to have lived this amazing moment. And I suddenly realized tha...

Monterrey started to see the birth of the rooftops trend as it is the case in most of European cities. The influence comes directly from the US and this is super cool! Let’s think about it: having a nice drink at the end of the day, in a place surrounded by a killer la...

Toujours. El Museo como Testigo / Toujours. The Museum as Testament

Toujours…Siempre…Always. Whether in French, in Spanish or in English, this simple word refers to the perpetuity. Always refers to something that will never end, that will remain forever. I like this ide...

Today let’s escape to Santiago, a Pueblo Magico where I spent one Sunday three months after my arrival in Mexico.

First of all, what is a Pueblo Magico?

This is a village which has received an accreditation from the Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism (SECTUR), regarding dif...

When I think about Monterrey I first see two things: car and meat. What do we do if we don’t want cars anymore? We go to the mountains all around the city. What do we do if we don’t want to eat meat anymore? We go to Taller Veganico.

Taller Veganico opened in 2013 and e...

The main advantage of Monterrey is that all around the city you find a wide range of outdoors activities. Climb, parachute jump, paraglider, High Mountain, rafting, speleology, caves, abseiling descent and a lot of others! For those who dislike nature, back off! Today...

In Monterrey the meat is strongly present in cooking. It is actually really rare to find traditional dishes without meat, which is, I admit it, quite complicated for a Parisian who doesn’t eat meat more than twice a week! In the north of Mexico the meat is almost a rel...

Mexico is the kingdom of the tortilla, which is regularly perceived here as the equivalent of the bread for French. Well…this is actually not really the truth. For instance, the majority of Mexican eat tortillas everyday and not only one or two. And this is totally par...

Who said that there was no cultural life in Monterrey???!!! Well, let’s be honest: it was probably the case 30 years ago…But as I mentioned it in the introduction of the city, Monterrey is changing, dynamically evolving, searching for its identity. And cultural events,...

It’s Sunday morning, after a night out (or not!). You are starving, your fridge is empty and you suddenly have a furious desire of Mexican food. In Monterrey, think Frida Chilaquiles! Pero qué es eso???

The chilaquiles are a traditional Mexican dish, composed of corn to...
