Today, I decided to talk to you about RUNNING and I am going to try to figure out how Monterrey, N.L. turned me into a runner...

I am definitely not the type of person on who we would have bet that I am going to become a regular runner. Do you remember your training cla...

It makes now one year that I went back to Mexico after having previously studied there for one semester. Many of you have wondered: “why deciding to live in Mexico?” and until now, I never gave that much details on the blog. I was just starting to write articles and I...

One year ago, I went for a week end to La Mesa del Oso (literally “The Bear’s Table”) which is a place totally lost in the mountains, located after the small village of Laguna de Sanchez.

From Monterrey by car, you need easily 3 hours to reach the destination. The exper...

Christmas is coming (even if we still have some days at 30°C…) and it means one thing: family, posada and…tequila. And yes, in Mexico instead of having champagne we party with tequila! This is the opportunity for me to talk to you about this alcohol that worldwide evok...

Recently I went with few friends to Chipinque and we did the Pinal. I had already done it, almost one year ago: it is the opportunity to give an overview of what has changed.

The first time that I did the Pinal, it was a cold Sunday of January and I was with my other ha...

In Mexico, there are thousands of ways to cook eggs. I propose you a glossary of the main different recipes, not wanting to be completely lost reading the menu.

  • Los Huevos Mexicanos

Those are fried eggs (huevos estrellados) cooked with pieces of tomato, onion and...

Día de Muertos or “Day of the Dead” takes place every 2nd of November and is recognized as intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

If Mexico is highly catholic, due to its Spanish roots, the country is also printed by the prehispanic indigene cultures where...

As I already said it, Monterrey is surrounded by mountains: La Estanzuela, Chipinque, La Huasteca and others. But yesterday I went to Cerro de la Silla. Cerro de la Silla that I see from the window of my living room everyday but where I have never been before, after on...

Everywhere in the world each country has its staple food, specific ingredients without which people couldn’t survive! Mexico doesn’t make exception to the rule. If you don’t like the following ingredients you are screwed!

  • El Aguacate (the Avocado)

The avocado is d...

October 11, 2016

Today I decided to talk to you about one of the Mexican food bases. It’s funny because I exchanged with some Mexican friends about what, according to them, was the “essential” of the Mexican cooking and they all gave me an interminable list! This means that I will have...
